This is do :: or :: diso’s 2 year anniversary issue. What better way to celebrate the milestone than to focus on the moment of celebration in an athletic event. I do not shoot division one finals or the World Series so I am not an image-maker for March Madness’ “One Shining Moment.” And I have no shots of the goggled World Series victors spraying champagne in the locker room. But, if you shoot sports at any level, you will have the chance to catch that moment of celebration when the athletes, coaches and fans let you into their world to see them acknowledge the awesomeness of the moment. Humans compete to win and when they do, the “moment of joy” image is a favorite. It captures all of the human emotion with nothing held back. Celebration shots are one of the biggest reasons you keep shooting when the play is over. Without any other words, here are some images of the celebration.
Next month, do :: or :: diso gets feisty with an issue dedicated to boxing photography.
